Deux semaines apr\u00e8s le d\u00e9but de l\u2019agression de l\u2019Ukraine d\u00e9clench\u00e9e par le pr\u00e9sident Poutine, notre \u00e9motion et notre sid\u00e9ration restent toujours aussi vives.<\/p>\n
Que faire pour soigner, soulager, conforter, d\u00e9fendre ceux qui subissent de plein fouet cette odieuse invasion\u00a0?<\/p>\n
Combien de violences, de mensonges et de manipulations vont encore \u00eatre d\u00e9ploy\u00e9s pour assouvir une soif de domination\u00a0?<\/p>\n
Devant un avenir impr\u00e9visible, nous prions pour tous ceux qui, par divers moyens, trouvent le courage de r\u00e9sister. En premier lieu en Ukraine mais aussi en Russie et partout dans le monde. Qu\u2019ils trouvent dans le nom du Seigneur un ferme appui pour traverser cette \u00e9preuve inhumaine et \u00e9clairer leur action.<\/p>\n
Alors que les divisions eccl\u00e9siales et la guerre se trouvent m\u00eal\u00e9es, que ni l\u2019invasion russe ni la lutte l\u00e9gitime qui s\u2019y oppose ne s\u2019accompagnent de repr\u00e9sailles entre membres d\u2019\u00c9glises s\u00e9par\u00e9es.<\/p>\n
Nous rejoignons tous les appels adress\u00e9s aux dirigeants de l\u2019\u00c9tat et de l\u2019arm\u00e9e russes pour qu\u2019ils cessent les combats. En cette p\u00e9riode de repentir, nous demandons instamment qu\u2019en tout lieu o\u00f9 elle est implant\u00e9e, particuli\u00e8rement en Russie o\u00f9 elle jouit d\u2019une influence consid\u00e9rable dans la soci\u00e9t\u00e9, l\u2019\u00c9glise \u00e9l\u00e8ve une voix courageuse, affermie dans la v\u00e9rit\u00e9 et la pri\u00e8re, pour d\u00e9noncer et faire cesser ce fratricide contraire \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9vangile.<\/p>\n
Nos pens\u00e9es se tournent vers les victimes. Nous prions pour le pardon et le repos de tous ceux qui, Ukrainiens ou Russes, p\u00e9rissent chaque jour dans ce terrible conflit.<\/p>\n
Nous sommes solidaires, non seulement en intention mais aussi en actes, envers tous ceux qui, directement ou indirectement, souffrent de cette guerre.<\/p>\n
Nous relayons ci-dessous plusieurs initiatives par lesquelles nous pouvons apporter une aide concr\u00e8te \u00e0 ceux qui fuient les attaques de l\u2019arm\u00e9e russe et sont contraints \u00e0 l\u2019exil.<\/p>\n
Cette crise, par la solidarit\u00e9 qu\u2019elle suscite, nous oblige, nous, orthodoxes de toutes origines diss\u00e9min\u00e9s en Occident, d\u2019apporter un t\u00e9moignage commun de service et d\u2019entraide. Cette guerre nous rappelle que nous ne pouvons nous rapprocher de notre unit\u00e9 en Christ si nous ne d\u00e9passons pas nos sentiments d\u2019appartenances nationales et nos divisions internes. Par l\u2019amour envers notre prochain, en l\u2019accueillant dans sa diff\u00e9rence et ses n\u00e9cessit\u00e9s, nous pouvons, autant que nos forces le permettent, \u00e0 la suite du patriarche Abraham, go\u00fbter l\u2019exp\u00e9rience de communion qui unit les personnes de la Trinit\u00e9.<\/p>\n

First of all in Ukraine, but also in Russia and thought the world\u2014that they find in the name of the Lord a stronghold to cross this inhumane path and guide their actions.<\/p>\n Although ecclesial divisions are intertwined with the war, we pray that neither the Russian invasion nor the legitimate struggle of the resistance be accompanied by retaliations between the members of these separate churches.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n We join in with all those who call to the powers of the Russian state and army to cease this combat.\u00a0 In this period of repentance, we ask that immediately, and in every place she be implanted\u2014and particularly in Russia where she plays such an important role in society\u2014that the Church raise a courageous voice, made firm in truth and prayer, to denounce and bring an end to this fratricide contrary to the Gospel.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Our thoughts are turned towards the victims. We pray for the forgiveness and repose of all who, Ukrainian or Russian, perish every day in this terrible conflict.<\/p>\n We are in solidarity, through intention but also through action, with those who, directly or indirectly, suffer from this war.<\/p>\n Below, we share several initiatives to bring concrete, material help to those who flee the attacks of the Russian army and are confined to exile.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n This crisis, by the solidarity it generates, obliges us, Orthodox of every origin spread throughout the West, to bare a common witness of service and help. This war reminds us that we cannot grow closer in unity in Christ if we cannot move beyond our feelings of national belonging and internal divisions.
